I am proud to announce that Leaf is now officially Ag Data Transparent certified! The core principles of Ag Data Transparency represent basic guidelines about how to display information about farm data privacy. Since inception Leaf has publicly stated our policies and now Leaf’s commitment to security, data privacy, and transparency are recognized by Ag Data Transparent.
Our data policy outlines the categories of data we work with, who owns this data, what we do with this data and who has access to this data. It also describes what happens when data agreements change, what happens if our company structure were to change, and many other situations that are important for our clients to understand.
We know that our clients are custodians of their farmer clients’ data, which gives us the same custodial obligations in-turn as well, and we take this very seriously. When a grower gives their service provider and Leaf the opportunity to work with their ag data, we want to make sure they can have the highest possible level of trust in how we handle their data.
So, what has changed and what does this mean for our users? In short, nothing has changed. The fact that we are now Ag Data Transparent certified just means that our policies are now recognized by Ag Data Transparent and we have been certified by Ag Data Transparent as an independent third party.
If you have any questions about Leaf’s Ag Data Transparency certification or anything else ag data related, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or the rest of the team at Leaf.
